Established in 2018 by Paprika Studios in collaboration with RTL Hungary, Hypewriter is the first international TV Series Pitch Forum held in Budapest, Hungary.

 

For the 4th time, in 2022 we are looking for the next great idea for television series – without any genre restrictions. The submissions for the Hypewriter 2022 is closed now, but stay tuned for our 2023 call!

Chosen by an international jury of TV professionals, the winner in 2022 will be awarded a 10,000 EUR cash prize and their idea turned into a fully produced pilot.

8 selected projects are to be judged by a jury at the Pitch Forum Event. The jury will be comprised of prominent representatives of culture, film theory, as well as filmmakers. The selected finalists will get the chance to participate at a pitch training prior to the Pitch Forum Event.

In 2018 and 2019, Hypewriter received over 300 entries from around the world. Winner of Hypewriter 2018, 'The Butcher' has been produced as a professional pilot episode. Golden Age, our Winner in 2019 is currently in development, the pilot of the 2021 Winner, Angel Trumpets will be premiered within Hypewriter 2022.
